Yup. I managed to catch up to Yong Pal in just one day and now I am patiently waiting for episode 8 like everyone else. I really like this drama so far. I usually try to stay far away from medical dramas. Medical dramas that I didn't finish include Good Doctor and Blood. The only medical drama I managed to finish was Doctor Stranger.. That drama went downhill big time. I was a bit resistant to continue watching YP because I thought it was going to be an action drama based on the first episode. I, myself, am not a fan of action dramas. And I may be in minority but I haven't yet watched City Hunter or Healer even though I heard some many people rave about them.
Since the ratings for this YP are so high, the drama is being extended to 20 episodes. Joo Won is doing an awesome job portraying Tae Yoon. I liked him ever since his villainous in Baker King Tak Goo. I was rooting for him & Eugene to end up together also in BKTG too. And that drama managed to get 50%+ ratings. The online ratings for Yong Pal are high too.
The gist of what I got from episode 7 is that basically everyone is falling in love with Yong Pal. The nurse, the gangster, the director's wife, Stephanie. Episode 7 was a bit slow plot-wise compared to the previous episodes. It's still so early in the drama so why are they already having flashback scenes?
Joo Won has so many scenes. Poor boy. He must not be getting any rest at all. Live shooting must suck big time. I am also sad to see Stephanie leave for America. I was shipping her with Joo Won. Her scenes, the gangster's, and nurses' scenes are my fave and provide comedic relief.
